About ESR
Dr. S. Rathinavel (Son of R Sivasubramaniam) is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Agricultural Engineering, with a specialized focus on Farm Machinery and Power Engineering. His research focuses Precision Agriculture, Rice mechanization, Coconut mechanization, Renewable Energy Applications in agriculture.
He has led and collaborated on numerous research projects related to Variable Rate Fertilizer Application, UAV-based multispectral imaging, and coconut harvesting. His work integrates tools such as Agricultural UAV, Machine learning, IoT to develop advanced solutions for site-specific crop management, improving efficiency, reducing input waste, harvesting automation.
Dr. Rathinavel is also actively involved in academia, contributing as an young researcher, author, future educator to undergraduate students. He is writing books, research articles, popular articles, book chapters etc., based on his research specialization and also modern agricultural sector
A lifelong learner and passionate mentor, Dr. Rathinavel continues to contribute to the advancement of smart farming practices through research, innovation, and knowledge dissemination
